Figgjo is located in beautiful natural surroundings at Figgjo outside Stavanger. Figgjo is the only remaining large scale producer of porcelain in the Nordic region. Here they use traditional craftsmanship and a modern machinery to translate classic design into functional and durable porcelain. Some of their products require 52 interventions by human hands during the production process. They have been influenced by the unpretentious Scandinavian design expression where belonging and traditions are just as important as food trends. Did you know that Figgjo won their first design award in 1969?

Figgjo products are resource effective and have a very sustainable lifetime. Therefore, they have an environmental advantage in comparison with similar products made of other materials.

'We are ISO certified in quality management, environment and energy consumption. We check the quality manually and sort after each firing. Figgjo uses no environmentally harmful raw materials, and recycles all unused production material. After firing, discarded products are recycled as filler. We clean all the air and water used in the factory.'
